There is beauty everywhere. If you look close enough you will see it. It’s hidden in the most mysterious places, in the most unknown paths. You will not see it necessarily at first glance. No, it’s not waiting for you on the surface. You need to be a bit more patient, a bit more mindful, a bit more openhearted than usual. Then, beauty will reveal itself magically and you will see it. Not with your eyes, but with your heart, with your soul, with your spirit.
There is beauty everywhere and you don’t need to go far to discover it. It’s not only in the high mountain rages or in the view of a spectacular waterfall, or in the blue vastness of the ocean. These wonders are right next to you. If you silent your thoughts, then your soul can navigate you to find them.

I decided to go for a morning walk to charge myself for the day. As I was walking on the main road I found my body turning to the right, towards a piece of land full of vegetation. I admit that I surprised even myself changing direction so suddenly. This direction would not lead me anywhere. In couple of meters I would reach the river and on its other side it would be almost impossible to walk as the ground was seriously steep. So there I was, still surprised by this instinct move, wandering among big plants, wondering what is there to discover. I stopped for a second just to observe and then I saw this unbelievable beetle right next to me. I blinked my eyes many times to make sure that what I see is true. Its colour looked like Christmas ornament. I never believed there was a being on earth so shiny in colour. I stared at it for a while, noticing the gracefulness in its movement. Mesmerized, tears came to my eyes, first of all because this wild being gave me the permission to witness its beauty and second because of the unknown, yet tremendous capacities we human possess to navigate ourselves in the right places. Something beyond our mind, something big and wise knows the truth, knows our direction.

Yes, I believe that there is beauty everywhere, as much as there is pain and sadness and death. The point is acknowledging both of them and seeing through the ordinary to notice the extra-ordinary. It’s about stop rushing and taking the time to see the beauty that lies beneath the surface. It’s about opening our hearts so that they can notice the beauty in other people and above all, the beauty within.
